I love the unconventional use of found objects as scenery elements.  And your painting is excellent as always.

I love your use of lighting in the paint scheme, it's all your own!

The dappled lighting is a nice and original touch and I love the fragility you've given to the wings (always a challenge on white metal minis!). I'm not sure the whole base is doing it justice, though. Beyond the area in her immediate vicinity it lacks interest or context.

Thanks for the good feedback! I was wondering that a bit myself with the stone. In hindsight I agree perhaps a smaller one would have been a better choice. Onto the next figure :)

This is beautiful! The Sylph is one of my favorite sculpts from Julie and you've done her beautiful justice!

Lights on the dress are a touch of wonder :) and the contrast on warm/cold colors works very good!
is the base self built? I guess I see buttons ;)

Thanks! :) Yep the base is self built, with the aid of a stone, a large earring, and alot of cork bits and greenstuff. :)

Great use of an earring as a framing element! :D It works so nicely as some sort of magical gateway *AND* gives the piece a Mucha-esque touch.
